Nest doorbell can’t be added to Nest app so won’t work with Alexa

Just bought and installed  Nest Hello doorbell (battery) in the hopes of syncing with my Echo Show. My internet reading indicates that at this point it works. 

After two + hours working with Amazon, it seems that Alexa only has skills for the Nest app and not for Google Home app. And for some bizarre reason, Google won’t allow the doorbell to be added to the Nest app. Could you guys please get together and fix this!!!

Thanks for this post. Was about to buy one but realized it uses the Google app not nest and that the skill in Alexa is for Nest so i started googling around.

I wonder if it's possible to get it working through Samsung SmartThings, like a middle man of sorts
