I recently sold my home and purchased a new home and apparently I did not grab the elusive chime connector when I left... Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate one to purchase so am I stuck with a worthless doorbell or are the connectors available elsewhere? Thanks!

Hi mhanson1127,
Not to worry! To provide the best support with this, I've shared this with the Google Nest community team, who can check on possible options and next steps.

Google does not readily sell these , I imagine as a way to deter theft, as most of the required electronics are outside the home. Suggestion is to contact google support directly, they will verify your account and purchase and try to work with you.

Honestly the path of least resistance might be to ask your real estate agent to get in touch with the buyer and explain the situation and see if you can get them to give you the little adapter.

Sounds like I may have just thrown away a couple hundred dollars... The buyers have already started renovations on the house that was sold and the doorbell was replaced and it appears that I will have no luck here so thanks! Another reason NOT to get Google products... Cheers!

let me ask, have you tried to contact Google Stores help department? https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?hl=en

Wow,,, that is a bummer. It is so disheartening to see have awful Google is when it comes to the hardware side of customer service. I'm looking at replacing all my NEST cams with Arlo. They seem to be much more friendly to their customers.

Dont get me wrong, I love that Google syncs all of the devices up to my email and phone... It is very convenient. However, I literally sold my old house and bought another one after having the google doorbell for over a year. I did not remember to grab a part off of the chime box that is near the ceiling. For 3 months I have been unable to find another one so my doorbell does not work. I had to go through about 7 different verifications to ensure I was not a thief, which is fine, but still have not been able to get the part and their recommendation is to ask the person that bought my old home... That is not an option since I moved out of state so I guess I now have a $200 paperweight.. Oh well.. Still looking for other options but there does not seem to be many good ones..

Honestly I think looking on Ebay or Facebook market place for a used Nest doorbell that comes with the adapter you need. At least that way you will fix the problem and also have a backup camera.

Geez.....aren't they just some sort of convenient, clam shell type of wire connectors? I don't think they do anything other than join two wires together. How tough can it be?
EDIT....giving it a little more thought I think one is a module that interrupts the power to the camera to ring the chime when the doorbell is pushed. One of them actually acts like a relay. Sorry.
I don't even use my chime. Everything in the place rings when the doorbell is pushed. I wouldn't have even bought a chime if I was able to find out I wouldn't need one. 86

I am also missing a Chime Connector after a move. Is there an alternative in case Google won't sell or send a replacement?
