Nest doorbell connected to another account

I have an older nest doorbell.   The nest aware subscription was ending and google recommended switching to google home.    The transition failed and i wanted to go back to nest.   Ever since i he no access to the doorbell camera.    I have done factory resets 3 or 4 times, deleted the nest app and google home app, and reinstalled.     Keep getting the same error message that the doorbell is connected to aother account

I can't tell from your post exactly what has happened in your situation. You could try contacting Support to walk through the specifics of what's happened:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Hi GLP,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I understand that the transition failed while you were trying to switch your Nest Doorbell device to the Google Home app, and ever since, you haven't had access to your Nest doorbell device. I appreciate your efforts in trying to get it working again by factory resetting it 3 or 4 times. I'm here to help! To gather some more details, I'd like to ask the following questions:

  • What's your Nest doorbell device model? Here's a link for your reference: Technical specs for Nest cameras and doorbells
  • Which steps have your taken to perform the factory reset on your Nest doorbell device?
  • Have you tried to sign in on your primary Nest account on the Nest app to get access to your Nest doorbell device again? If not here is a link for your reference: FAQs about accounts for the Nest app

Let me know if you have any additional information; it’ll be helpful.

Best regards,
Juan
