I've had my nest doorbell for two weeks and I can honestly say it's total rubbish.
It's the only doorbell I've ever had that is so quiet you don't actually know anyone is at the door.
Let me give you an example. Someone presses the button outside and inside on my three speakers you get a tiny beep and "someone is at your front door door bell" and then my phone it doesn't ring or anything you get a tiny beep. You would never know if you was in the garden for example that anyone was at the door.
I've been through settings and there's nothing there to rectify this.
Sorry Google I love your products but this one is rubbish I'm afraid.

The volume of "Visitor announcements" on your Nest speakers depends on the volume level of your speakers. On your phone, the volume level of notifications depends on the volume level of your phone. Google Nest does not give us the ability to separately configure the volume level for camera or phone notifications. However, judging from other posts I've seen in this forum, on an Android phone (unlike on our iPhones) it is possible to configure some sort of ding-dong phone ring sound for doorbell rings on your Android phone.

Thanks very much for the reply but I've tried everything. I've been on YouTube looked and every setting possible.
The fact of the matter is I've paid £129 for a door bell that sends a tiny "beep" to your phone with a notification that someone is at your door.
I've actually missed more people at my door within the past two weeks than I did previously with my standard doorbell.
I love Google products, I'm Google through and through Google but this product, wow Google you need to re think. I need a device that actually lets meet know there is someone there.
Sorry but I still think this device has got some huge flaws.

Hello everyone,
@Jbenge, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, have you tried checking the settings of your Google Home app from your iPhone's settings? Try checking it and go to notifications then sound. Let us know how it goes.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Hi Emerson,
I think this is a higher oversight on Google's behalf. The only way I'll ever know if someone is at my door is if I keep looking at my screen and see the notification come up. My phone doesn't ring, it just makes a beep just once. I've also had to get another Google speaker (more expense) and plug it in downstairs. Even then there's no ring or anything the only thing that happens is Google Voice says "there's someone at the front door door bell" and that's it.
Like I said I've missed more packages now than I've ever done before.
I've even put my old doorbell next to the Google one.
There needs to be an update, my phone should physically ring to make me look at it so I can then see someone is at my door.
I've looked at every setting, I've been on YouTube, I've tried everything and there is no option at all of making my phone to let me know there's someone at my door.
Please can we get an update or fix for this, I've got a bell that isn't fit for purpose.

I've done all I can, I'm still a little shocked how no one else thinks this is a major over sight. Again yesterday I had another parcel delivered, no one heard the announcement and I didn't hear the one beep in my pocket so the delivery guy just left our parcel on the door mat. Okay I saw the video after but the point is there is no way of knowing if someone is at your door is your out and it's busy you'll never hear a beep that just happens once.
Thanks for all your help, I just guess I'm going to have to wait for an update of some kind to come out to rectify this problem.
