Nest outdoor wireless

Bought four Nest battery outdoor cameras today.  The first paired with Home very nicely.  Camera number 2 gave me :There is a problem message several times.  Followed Google instructions; turn your airplane mode on and off (?).  Reset the device.  Did both of those...result: “There is a problem” again.  Looked at the forum.  Lots of people with this issue.  I am not going to spend $600 and not have the product work. Took them straight to Best Buy...who was very accommodating.  Disappointed...but if you can’t make it work out of the box, it isn’t a product imo.

Hello Rgrant,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. We hear you and we wanted to help you with this. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, what is the light status of your Nest Camera? Just a reminder: It should have a blue light pulsing indicating that it's ready to connect.

To reset:

  1. Locate the reset pinhole on the back of your Nest Doorbell.
Tip: The reset pin on your Nest Doorbell (battery) is located below the USB port on the back of the doorbell.
  2. Insert and hold the pin (you can use an unfolded paperclip or a thumbtack):
    1. At 10 seconds, the status light will blink yellow four times, and you’ll hear a countdown tone.
    2. At 12 seconds, the status light will be steady, solid yellow while the doorbell starts the factory reset, and you’ll hear a confirmation tone.
  3. Release the button. Your Nest Doorbell will restore to its factory settings.
  4. After the factory reset, your Nest Doorbell will appear as “Offline” in the app until you remove it.
  5. To remove it from the app, open the app, then tap Settings Nest settings icon Remove device Confirm.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Emerson
