Nest spotlight offline

I had a new Nest floodlight camera installed about 2 weeks ago and it was working fine until 2 nights ago. The camera is working but the floodlight is not coming on and the app is showing the spotlight is offline. See attached screenshot. I tried resetting via holding the button on the camera down for 5 seconds but that did nothing. I had to climb up a ladder to do this and if there is a chance this will be a frequent occurrence I am going to return the unit to Home Depot and purchase the Ring version. I have 4 rods in my back and osteoporosis and cannot afford any mishaps on a ladder. Please let me know asap.

Hey there,

Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally. If you choose to factory reset your device, please hold it down for 30 seconds or more. 5 seconds is not enough for a factory reset. Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,
Brad
