Nest wired chime connector

Well we have the Nest Hello and the chime connector has gone bad. I spent more than 45 minutes with online chat Andrew to find that Nest / Google store doesn’t sell them. He said try other retailers! Now if the manufacturer doesn’t sell replacement parts who does? The only place I found them was on eBay at $49.99. I am not found of buying from eBay. How do I know the part is new? For a product that when it was bought rated number one the service is at the bottom.

Sorry that I don't have any specific advice for where you can get replacement parts. 

It might help other users help you further if you let us know where in the world you are. I'm UK based myself and know of a friend that's purchased one from Argos.
