My nest wireless camera outdoors got really wet with the recent rains and now it’s saying it’s off-line and I can’t get it to go back online does rainwater ruin a camera?

Google Nest says "Your Nest Cam is weather resistant in accordance with its IP54 rating, but it is not waterproof" (https://support.google.com/product-documentation/answer/10748606).
All of our exterior cameras are mounted under an overhang or under a camera hood. The oldest is 4 years old, and none have sustained water damage.

I've heard of heaps being damaged from water. They're not fit for purpose at all. Unfortunately they're an inferior product.

Hi everyone,
@Oopy, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To confirm, what is the light status of your Nest Camera while offline? How far is your Nest Camera from the router? Were there any internet or power outages in your area during that time?
Give these steps a try:
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
