Nestcam with Floodlight - no light

Hey guys, this isn't a request for help, this is what I did to resolve an issue I see alot of other people have, hopefully it will help someone else.

I've had my camera on and running for close to three years now this is my first real issue.

I had left for work the other night and noticed my floodlight didn't turn on. I checked my home app and even the icon for controling the light was missing. Eventually I removed the device and readded it, still nothing, I even removed it from power and nothing. And it was saying it was a nest cam battery, which it's not. I tried a few times, each time selecting that it was a floodlight but it wasn't working. Reading posts etc, came to the conclusion that it IS a battery camera. in case of power outage, internal battery will still record events for an hour. I suspect all of the recent cold weather is the cause of my issue.

I did a few things, unfortunately at the same time, so I'm not sure which thing worked.

1)  I removed it from my app and deleted my app. (to remove any old info)

2) I have a Nest doorbell (battery) - I hooked it up to charger in case the system was getting confused. (i doubt this is an issue)

3) held down button on back of camera (12 seconds) to factory reset it.

4) unplugged my Routers (internet) to hopefully clear out any info stored about the camera.

5) Reintalled Home App on my phone

6) Added Camera back to app.

re added camera. Initially it readded it as it originally was. Then it said battery low camera offline. without removing that camera in app I readded again.

Camera successfully added with the floodlights working. In the settings it does still say Nest Cam battery but everything is working as it should.
