One of my vehicles got broke into last night and the new nest cam I installed pick up nothing and because unlike the old camera's that continuously recorded the camera with the best view has nothing. Two of my older next cams that are still on the next app also did not alert but I was able to find it by searching through the video. If your camera can only use the Google Home app this is not possible as there is no video to search, only alerts. Once the nest app is closed the older camera's will be useless even thought the do work on the Google Home app as they will no longer have continuous recording. I had been recommending Nest Cams to neighbors but no longer. When the time comes everything is forces onto the Google Home app I guess I will have no choice but to replace all of the camera. Way to build it back better Google!

Hi snakedogwarrior,
If you have the Nest Aware subscription that allows for 60 day events and 10 day 24/7 recording then you should be able to toggle on the 24/7 recording history in the Google Home app camera view.

You can get 24/7 recording with the battery camera IF it is plugged in (as ours is) with the optional power cable.

If they have constant power otherwise they wont record 24/7 and you have the top tier subscription
