I just got this doorbell to add with my 1st gen Nest indoor cams and outdoor cams. I just bought 2 new Google outdoor cams but I cant even connect the doorbell. It keeps giving me this error:
"Can't connect to assisting Nest Device ?"
I like the google doorbell much more than the ring and my whole house is using the google eco system. Any new ideas? Ive read alot on here but it is still not working.

If you search this forum for "assisting device" or assisting Nest device" using quotation marks in your search, you will find many posts from other customers who have encountered this problem, along with many customer suggestions on how to fix it--solutions that work for some customers but not all. Google Nest Support has not provided any definitive solutions. If you google for the Google Nest Help website and perform the same searches there, you'll find that they refer you to many customer postings on this problem, but not a single link to a Google Nest Help page with Google-provided solutions.

Most of the customer solutions does not work for me. REmoved all devices and tried adding doorbell first with no luck.
