How can I setup my google doorbell to only use my nest hub for alert and not all speakers.

It is freaking my wife out a bit 😛

Btw how long does the battery a go? We connected it with 2 wires on the old doorbell but I think the camera stll uses the battery. Any idea howlong till recharge?

@Rolays

Unfortunately, "visitor announcements" go to all Nest Hubs and speakers in the same home. Your only recourse is to use "Do Not Disturb" for some.

The Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) always runs off of the battery, even when wired. It's trickle charged when wired. We have the wired Nest Hello Doorbells, so I don't know about battery life, but see this Google Nest Help page: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/11830989?hl=en

Hi everyone,

@MplsCustomer thanks for the information.

@Rolays thanks for reaching out. I understand your concern about your Google Nest doorbell.

Try these steps:

  • Create a new home structure for your Google Home App. Click this link for the steps.
  • Transfer your Google mini speakers to the new home.

The Google Nest doorbell will not recognize your Google mini speakers as part of your home and will leave your Nest hub as its display.

Hit this link to know more about the battery recharge.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Emerson
