I have a Nest doorbell that is Chipping and Peeling around the camera lens. I have concerns that this might cut someone. This is my second replacement for the doorbell as the original doorbell had the same issue. Has anyone found a fix for this? It appears that this might be a design flaw. I really don't want to purchase another nest product if this is what the duration of its life is like. Please advise if anyone has a workaround. So Frustrated with this.

Hi Skraps,
I’m sorry to hear that. As a user myself I can understand where you’re coming from. If your Nest Hello Doorbell (wired) is exposed to extreme temperatures (sunlight, dust, snow and rain). It can cause cosmetic damage. Especially when you place it on your front door. To prevent your Nest doorbell from peeling off in a short time, you may purchase a protective gear from any third party store online.
Let me know if you need more help.
Thanks,
JT

Hello
i have the same problem. Mine is not even exposed to rain, sun nor snow as it is in an entryway and always covered. It looks ugly and has sharp edges that can cut as the face is peeling. I first even thought there was film to remove but apparently not. Very disappointing. I filled some kind of a form a week ago to be contacted about it but nothing yet.
Considering I have a bunch of nest products I was happy with, the doorbell definitely is a downside.
