No audible notification

Seriously - how hard is it to get an audible notification on my phone from my Google Nest doorbell (battery). All notifications are turned on . I missed a crucial delivery yesterday because Ij was busy assembling furniture and with no audible cue on my phone - it’s useless. You have to have your phone in your hand all the time! . Also notifications (despite being set on important) are inconsistent on timing - sometimes immediate, sometimes delayed beyond useful. And sometimes the days events disappear before I can even see them. Good camera after my Arlo failed but has many flaws.

Hi @Jadape,

Thanks for posting here in the community. I'm sorry to hear you're not getting audible and consistent notifications on your phone from the Nest Doorbell Battery and sometimes the events disappear. I'm happy to help!

To better understand the situation, I'd like to ask a few questions:

  • What type of mobile device do you have?
  • When did the inconvenience start?
  • How far is the Wi-Fi router from the Nest Doorbell?
  • Do you have an active Nest Aware subscription?

In the meantime, let's check a few things:

  • Restart your phone: This can often resolve temporary software glitches.
  • Uninstall the app: If restarting your phone doesn't help, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google Home app.
  • Try on another mobile device: Try using the Google Home app on a different mobile device or tablet.
  • Enable permission on your mobile device: Ensure that the Google Home app has the required permissions on your device.
  • Check your Internet connection: Since you mentioned the notifications are inconsistent in timing or sometimes delayed. A strong and stable internet connection is crucial for Google Home app to function properly.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Melany
