No audio on gen2 outdoor camera's unless settings reset on S22 Ultra

Just updated nest door bell to the 2gen nest door bell wired and installed two indoor/outdoor 2gen camera's outdoors. Now do not hear any audio from any camera on the S22 ultra and the volume controls do not work. Reset all setting on S22 worked, but only worked for a short time. So I know that the audio does work but it must be messing with the setting on the S22.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi HHaeker,

I’m sorry for the trouble here using your camera audio. No worries, we’ll sort this out — a few questions: when did the issue start? Has the camera been exposed to outdoor weather? Has the camera suffered any drops or impacts? Is the camera exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time? Also, is the camera in a case or housing?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Verify that the audio settings on your Google Home app is correct:
    • In the Home app , touch and hold your device's tile > Settings Nest settings icon > Audio and use the slider to adjust the volume. You can also turn the microphone on or off, and switch audio recording.
  2. Check the Google Home app permissions:
    • Go to the device’s Settings > Google Home > Permission, and make sure Microphone is enabled.
    • Test if the device’s microphone is working.
  3. Confirm if the audio issue happens on other mobile devices or computers.
  4. Check if the device is connected to a Bluetooth device that may be serving as the microphone.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks,

JT

Thanks for responding.

I have tried everything that you mentioned. Everything works if I turn off Bluetooth on my galaxy watch 5 that is connected to the Samsung S22. Sound then works or comes through from the camera. Don't really want to keep the camera if I can not connect other devices to the S22 if I cannot connect them with Bluetooth.
