I just bought a google first gen wired doorbell and a nest audio assistant. I dont have a mechanical chime inside the house so I set up the nest audio as assistant, it worked well for a day, then I disconnected the power cord of the nest audio and moved it 5 meters to the other side of the room now there is no chime when the doorbell button is pressed.
The nest audio works well by itself and anwers my "hey google" requests
The doorbell works fine, I get push notifications on my phone and I can see the video stream on the nest app but still no chime on the nest audio.
Ive done a factory reset of the doorbell and added it again, no luck.
"Indoor chime is ON"
"Visitor announcements is "ON"
"Chime duration is set to 7sec which seems more than enough"
"Quiet time" is off
What in the heck is going on, why am I wasting so much time on this simple feature.....

Hi there,
I am relieved to hear that a factory reset did the trick to resolve this for you! As this is no longer a concern, we'll leave this topic open for another 24 hours in case there are any follow-up questions or comments.
Best regards,
Brad
