I got two battery-powered Nest Doorbells five months ago, and I have never once received a low battery notification for either (I first had an iPhone 15 and now have a 16). Occasionally I’ll notice that the battery is low and recharge before it goes empty, but usually I realize the battery has run out by discovering the camera has died. This is a critical and obvious feature — the doorbell is useless if it runs out of charge — and I can’t imagine Google intends for us to have to set weekly calendar reminders to check battery levels. I also can’t imagine it’s a difficult problem to solve, since it’s a feature that I gather once functioned properly (and even had its own toggle in settings). When can we expect this critical feature to be reinstated?

Hi @sirakh,
Thanks for posting here in the community. I apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with the battery notifications on your Nest Doorbell Battery.
Currently, getting low-battery notification alerts are not available. However, we're always looking for ways to improve and appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue improving our products to meet your needs.
In the meantime, I recommend checking the battery level of your Nest Doorbell on the Google Home app settings.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Melany

Thanks for letting me know. When will this feature be added? I can't imagine anyone prefers not to have the notifications -- it's like having a car that doesn't alert you when it's running out of gas.
