Has there been any progress made on getting the Google Nest to play a sound on the iphone?
It is virtually useless if I have to be staring at my phone in order to see the notification that someone is at the door. Especially because people are more inclined to just ring the bell rather than knocking since there is a bell there.
if it doesn't make a sound to notify me, I'm better off not having it.
It makes a notification on my phone but it is silent.
Can anyone help?

I have exactly the same issue . My google (wireless) doorbell is utterly useless 🤬

Thanks for replying!! I searched the forum for earlier posts before writing this and it sounded like it wasn't possible. It's just so hard to believe that I figured I'd ask again.. Going to see if there's some way to return it. 🤦🏻♀️

Hi Jeremy,
It's the Google Nest battery-operated doorbell. Doesn't give a model, but I bought it just in September. I'm signed into Google Home app. I followed the instructions and did that. Am I supposed to have a separate Nest app?
I've definitely done due diligence with checking all the possible notification settings. I only use it through my Iphone, don't have other devices paired with it.

Same issue with google home doorbell, haven’t received a notification to my iPhone. Please help if not doorbell is useless. I have kids and would like to see when anyone walks up to my door.
