No sabbath mode?

Now that I spent an hour of my Sunday trying to install this?

How is it possible I have Google this and Google that in my house and I can’t turn notifications off on a schedule.

Please tell me I wasted an hour looking for the solution rather than wasted an hour installing the product.

Thanks

Hi DuctTape,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear that you experienced problems while you installed your Google device. I understand that you want to turn off the notifications with the help of a schedule. In this case, I just need to ask for some information to provide the best assistance:

  • What device did you install?
  • Did you already set up the device on the app?

Once I have this information, I can provide the best assistance.
Please keep me posted.

Best regards,
Jenny

Hi DuctTape,

Thanks for your reply. In this case, the camera's notifications can't be restricted selecting an specific schedule, but don't worry; you have a more useful feature that you can set for your camera notifications:

  • You can choose to receive notifications for everything your camera detects or choose notifications for only certain types of activity.
  • You need to separately set up alerts for each camera and doorbell in your home.
  • If others can control devices in your home, each person can set their own camera alert preferences in the app.
  • If you've turned on critical alerts, you may receive some push notifications even when your phone is set to Do Not Disturb mode.

You can check the "Camera and doorbell alerts" for detailed information.
Please let me know if you have more questions.

Best regards,
Jenny

Hi, thanks, but it isn’t that the camera is recording or that I am getting alerts (to my phone that is off) per se, it’s that the motion sensor is tripping the circuit and illuminating the button circle light and the green on led.

We are forbidden to use electronic devices on the sabbath. So it isn’t so much that the camera records because no one will watch it. It is problematic because the lights come on and off, indicating to the person standing in front of it that they are tripping the circuit.

How could there not be a way to set this to off?  I see the schedule that allows week nights, school nights, weekends etc. And I see custom. However the sabbath is 25 hours long and custom does not give a choice of a period of multiple days like my (your) Nest thermostat. That is if I set it to go off Friday at 4PM I can only set it to turn on at 11:59 Friday, not 6PM Friday.

Hi DuctTape,

Thanks for your reply. I understand that you need to set up and turn off the lights and video from your Nest Doorbell (battery) during 25 hours.

In this case, this feature is not available right now, but we appreciate your feedback. We're constantly working on improvements, and your input helps us shape future features.

Please let me know if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Jenny
