No text notifications on my mobile phone

Pretty incredible that you cannot receive a text notification when the doorbell rings or detects motion. I am only able to get an email alert. Really ??

I purchased the nest doorbell, because of good reviews online. Is this an issue for other people ??

This Nest Doorbell is about be replaced by a Ring device !!

My notifications have stopped too. Only noticing since a couple of days ago. Just recently updated to ios 15.1 and it’s super annoying. Just installed a new camera which caused me to mess around with the settings. This is why I noticed my lack of notifications.
