Notifications sent to your phone

If you are self monitoring, a nest camera, and it detects sound on motion do you have options as to what type of notification is sent to your phone?  I'm trying to find a camera that is able to send text messages.

Where is the option to send email notifications from the cameras?  I can only find push notifications.

That article is wrong. I can't select email alerts for the cameras. That would solve a lot of issues if they did!
