Notifications to my phone now not working

I got a new phone and now my phone won’t send me notifications from camera. I can clearly see activity in my Google home app off the same phone but all notifications have stopped. I have updated notifications both on phone and app and still not working. Help!

I understand how important it is to receive notifications from your camera. It's good to know you can see activity in the Google Home app, but notifications aren't coming through on your new phone. Thank you for your effort. 

Here are a few steps to get your camera notifications back on track:

  • On your phone, go to Settings and navigate to Apps & Notifications (or a similar menu depending on your phone model).
  • Find the Google Home app and tap on it.
  • Ensure "Notifications" is turned on. You might also see additional notification categories; confirm that "Camera" notifications are enabled.

While some phone models might manage background app refreshes automatically, it's worth checking:

1. Go back to your phone's Settings menu. 

2. Locate "Apps" or "App Management" and find the Google Home app. 

3. Look for a setting related to "Battery" or "Background App Refresh." Ensure it's enabled for the Google Home app.

Thanks Jorge. None of these are working to get the notifications. What else can I do? I did all the troubleshooting too.

  • What's the brand and model of your cellphone?
  • Did you try with another cellphone? If not, can you try with another cellphone?
