Offline camera for 1/4 in family

We have a bunch of Google nest devices including a display smart screen/speaker, Wi-Fi router, and doorbell. My husband is on our Google Home account and has access to all the devices and can see everything. Invited our college kid in a couple weeks ago and they have access to all the devices and can see the doorbell and display screen. We’ve had a concerning incident between our 15yo and a community member and need to get her access to the doorbell so she knows the stay away if he returns. We invited her in just like her sibling and the doorbell and display show as offline when the rest of us see it as online. She can’t access it. We’ve uninstalled the Google Home app several times, deleted her from the Home and reinvited her but no matter the order of it all, she only sees those as offline. I thought it might’ve been her age but we entered her DOB as the same year as mine when we created her Google account years ago. Considering the other kid got in fine just weeks ago, creating a new home and starting the whole home and it’s devices over seems like an insane solution and setting it up was nuts to begin with. Any others?

Hello Heather1976,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community and for sharing here the steps you've done. To confirm, how many home members are already linked to your home structure? What is the make and model of her phone? To further isolate this issue, try using a different mobile phone and invite a different email address and see if you'll get the same issue. Hit this link for more information and Let us know how it goes.

It’s still not working. We have three others on the account and no one else has had trouble. She has the iPhone 14 just like the rest of us. I see this issue in many forms on the forums and it never seems to be fixed without jumping through hoops like creating whole new email accounts. (She has trouble managing the two she already has and the second one is for school and can’t be used for this.) The young man who was following her hasn’t been back (that we can tell) but I wish this piece of security worked properly so she had that tool to keep safe.

Hello Heather1976

Thanks for getting back to us. We know where you're coming from and we wanted to help you sort this one out. Just to make sure that we're on the same page, were you able to try adding a different home member with a different email address to see if you'll get the same issue? If so, how did it go? Could you try signing in her own email address on one of your phones and see if she'll get the same error? Looking forward to your response.

Best,

Emerson
