Outdoor cam red light

My Nest outdoor cam has no video feed. A permanent red light is showing on the camera body. I’ve tried power off and on, and as there is no reset on gen 1 cam I’ve removed the camera off my app to try reloading it. It will now not reload on the app. Any help gratefully received.

2 of mine went down last night as well. My newer cameras are working fine. Other users on Reddit are reporting the same thing. Google broke something.

For better assistance, please respond to the following questions:

  • How far have you gotten in pairing your device?
  • Which application did you use to pair the device with the Google Home app or the Nest app?
  • Did you experience any power outages in your home recently?
  • How far is the device from your router?
  • Are there any other devices that experience issues with your Wi-Fi?
  • Are there any devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the device you want to pair?
  • What error message do you see when trying to set up the device?
