Outdoor camera does not show up in nest app

I recently purchased a nest cam (with floodlight) for my back deck. I tried to add the camera through the nest app but there is a notice in the app that the camera needs to be added to google home first. I have added the camera to google home but the camera view is not appearing in my nest app. How can I view the camera view on my nest app? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

The newer Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 get installed ONLY in the Google Home app. We discovered this when we bought a battery camera in Sept. 2021; ever since we have had to use the Google Home app for that newer camera and the Google Nest app for our other cameras and doorbells. If you have a Nest Aware subscription, it applies to all cameras in the same Google Nest "home/structure" but you have to use separate apps to view the history.
