I have a wired outdoor nest cam with the magnetic mounting plate that I’ve used for over a year. Contractors removed it to do outside work and the QR sticker is now gone (I don’t still have the original packaging). Through this blog site I’ve discovered there may be a 6-digit pairing code typed somewhere on the cam. I don’t see it anywhere on my cam and the only reference I can find on here for the location of this code is that it’s someplace on the camera base. Well, my camera doesn’t have the same base as what is being referred to by specialists here. My camera has the small magnetic base which has nothing stamped on it. As for the camera itself, it’s completely self contained other than for the power cord coming out of the bottom of the housing.
I’ve dedicated hours so far trying to find out how to pair my camera to my new Wi-Fi and just need to know where this 6 digit code is on my style of camera.

I think for this problem you need to speak with an actual Google Nest Tech person. Here is the link to start a support ticket and get to where you can speak with someone.

I’ve already done that. The only information he had is for a different model nest camera which has a wider plastic base and the pairing code is stamped on the bottom of this base. My model camera having the small magnetic base seems pretty common based upon the other information readily available about it online. It truly surprises me that they cannot be of any assistance helping me to pair this camera to my Wi-Fi without the original little QR sticker.
