Hi Community!
I’ve looked all over, but can’t seem to find a solution to my problem.
We’re using the Home/Away function for our cameras inside/outside the house, and this works fine. The only issue is, that I would really like for the cameras to be turned ON at night, when we sleep. -But as far as I can tell, there isn’t an option to setup a timer/schedule, that turns on the cameras at a give time of day DESPITE you being at ‘Home’…
It is ludicrous, that you either have to have the cameras fully on always - OR - manually turn cameras on in the app, each time you go to bed 🙄 -One drains battery, adds unneascesary footage to you library AND kinda disturbs your own privacy, while the other is annoying and gives a bad user experience, potentially even causing the user to stop turning on/off.
There must be a smart way of going about this? -If not, it should be developed ASAP.
Look forward hearing about a viable solution!
BR,
Poul

Hi Brad
it’s not that I’m not happy about the feature - I’m just lacking a time schedule setup, that can override this. We want to have cameras on at night, while we sleep / and that isn’t doable with the current functionalities as far as I can see.
Can you confirm that this is not possible at the moment?
Thank you,
Poul

It would depend on your settings. If you have a Nest Aware subscription, some settings there may change the camera being on or off depending on motion detection, etc. but you can manually turn on your camera if it is wired set up.
Best regards,
Brad

Hi Emerson
Well, I haven’t quite understood whether the requested functionality exists or not? (In all honesty, I’m actually unsure whether you understand what I’m asking for/about)..?
FYI: I have two cameras, setup wireless outdoors. Currently no subscription to Nest Aware.
