Is it still under warranty?  If not, you still might.  Contact Google chat help.

No it’s not under warranty. I see many customers were able to get a replacement although it’s out of warranty.

I can't find anywhere to buy the  part, because I'd like one to have ready to change myself but can't find it anywhere. Google was no help in locating the part.
