I'm looking for recommendations for a plug in charger that will work with the Nest Doorbell (Battery).
I've tried 2 so far and although both are recognised by the doorbell, and show as 'plugged in' in the Home app, neither actually keeps the doorbell at the 75% charged (or even close to it).

A different plug-in charger may not help. The challenges you are facing with the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) is that it runs off of the battery AND the battery is trickle-charged at a rate low enough to avoid tripping a chime (even if you have no chime wired in). As customer @firmwaredev has pointed out on the three threads below, it's possible that at any temperature power usage can exceed the charging rate. Some customers have been able to tweak their doorbells to reduce how many events it detects in order to reduce their power usage, and thereby get by. But it doesn't always work.

Thanks for these, I'll work my way through them and see if I can come up with a balance. Have to say I'm pretty disappointed with this product overall though.

Last week, Google added this page on charging behavior for its new battery doorbells and cameras:

Thanks for that link, it's not really that cold where we are (London), but I guess this could still be a factor.

In this post, another customer comments on the battery not being able to charge above 75%:
