When Apple introduces a product, they put themselves in the position of the user. Google? Not do much. I spent an entire weekend looking at videos trying to wire a nest thermostat with a heat pump. Tedious. Then another day on a nest doorbell that doesn’t charge when plugged in snd csnt be set up. I tried three different chargers. None of them worked. Looked for solutions. Nothing that wouldn’t cost me 2-3 more hours. No more Google crap for me. This company pretends to be so smart snd user friendly but they’re really no better than a dial up router manufacturer in the 90’s. It’s not my job to learn THEIR job. It’s THEIR job to make their products easier to use. I hate to say it but Amazon make Google look like it’s run by propeller heads. If it’s at all possible to spend my life without Google or Microsoft, teams or Bing-whatever, it would be fine with me. This country is being dumbed down to being a DIY culture because companies don’t do the work to make things easy for the end user. Snd with every passing day, more half-assed junk is being foisted on us. Google can go pound sand.
