The last couple of nights I have had a message pop up when viewing my cameras. ‘Connect to a nearby device. To connect, your microphone will be used to temporarily listen for a PIN’. What does this mean? It happens in the middle of the night, but not during the day.

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I'd like to confirm, are you using a third party app to view your Nest Camera? Which app did you receive the pop up message? Kindly, share here the screenshot of the message. Looking forward to your response.

Thanks for your reply. No we aren’t using a third party app, we use google home. I’ve attached the screen shot.

Thanks for getting back to us. To further isolate this issue, to confirm, do you have a recent installation of an app that would need to connect to a microphone? Try reinstalling your Google Home app and let us know how it goes.
