Hi, my power cable is deteriorated and camera can turn on anymore. I bought a new cable but I am not sure if I can just remove the plug on the camera since it seems to be stuck. Has anyone experienced similar issue ?

Isn't it just held in to the camera with a magnetic connector?  You should be able to just pull and it comes off.  Are you sure you have the NEST OUTDOOR CAM Gen 2?   Maybe post a picture of your camera in case you have an older version.  I seem to remember some of them do not let the cable unplug.

HI Almeig04,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I understand that your Nest camera isn't powered on, it seems that the power cable isn't working and you can't remove the cable from the camera. I'm happy to help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • What kind of Nest camera do you have?
  • To help us get a better picture of what's happening, do you mind sharing a photo of the power cable?
  • Did the camera work when it was first installed?
    • If yes, how long has it been since installation?
  • are you using the USB cable or adapter that shipped with the camera?

@mdr2 Thank you for your help!

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Rusell
