Hi Cheechee,

Thanks for posting here, let me take a look at this for you. If you have a Nest Aware subscription, suggest that you look into setting up or adjusting their Activity Zones. Create separate zones for areas where you expect events to happen and where events can be ignored. To set up Activity Zones, follow these steps:

On the Google Home app:

  1. Tap Favorites or Devices.
  2. Select the camera they want to set up Activity Zones for.
  3. On the top-right,  tap More > Settings > Events > Seen events.
  4. Tap + Add a zone to create zones.

On the Nest app:

  1. Open the Nest app and select the camera they want to set Activity Zones for.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Select Activity zones.
  4. Tap Create zone. The new zone appears in the middle of the screen.

To create zones:

  1. Cover the relevant areas to set the zone for.
    • From the inside of the covered area, tap and drag to move the zone.
    • Tap and drag any of the 8 points on the sides and corners to change the zone’s size and shape.
  2. At the bottom of the screen, tap the colored circles to change the color of the Activity Zones.
  3. At the top of the screen, tap the pencil to give the zone a descriptive name and tap the check mark
  4. to save the zone’s name.
  5. Tap the check mark  again to save the zone.

Once the zones are set, the customer can disable notifications for irrelevant areas by having them follow through these steps:

  1. Open the Home or Nest app and select the camera they want to set activity zones for.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Tap the zone’s name they want to modify.
  5. Choose which event types they'd like to receive notifications for by toggling the slider on and off.

Let us know how that works.

Best,

Zoe
