Delayed Nest Doorbell Notifications

Just an update which I noticed this afternoon. I also have a nest camera in my home office, this has automations to turn on and off. I noticed the light on the camera was on. (the automation should have turned it off at 8am). As soon as I opened the Home app.....the automation ran and switched it off. It's as if the app cannot run in the background. I have tried a re-installation of the app.

Thanks for your reply and I know you're trying to help (i work in IT myself). But the fact that these things keep happening with Google products where I, the user, don't make any changes whatsoever, points to Google products being full of faults and/or bugs. In the past 5 years, I've had to have countless replacements and factory reset of google products (this doorbell is the 2nd time it's been replaced, so I have had a total of 3 doorbells and I still get issues). I'm just glad I never invested in Nest thermostats. Your products used to be great. Not so anymore.
