To help determine why your camera is not recording large birds, please provide the following information:
- What is the model of your Nest camera?
- Did you set up your camera in the Google Home app or the Nest app?
- Are you receiving notifications for other types of motion?
- Were there any changes to the Wi-Fi network?
- Do you use email or push notifications?
- Are there other family members who can access the camera? Do they receive any notifications?
- Has the camera been moved recently?
- Are there any Activity Zones set up for the camera?
In the meantime, please confirm that the camera’s settings are properly configured by following the steps below:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap Favorites or Devices.
- Tap and hold your device's tile > More > Settings.
- Select Events.
- Verify that the events you want to receive are on.
