What does this indicate sometime not recording events

We haven't encountered this on our cameras, but Google Nest Help's website says this; I think you might need to contact Google Nest Support, since their message doesn't tell us much:
"LED isn’t working properly"
"If there's a solid red status light, it means the LED isn’t working properly. Contact Nest Support for help."
