I have set up zones to reduce the amount of notifications i receive but I still notifications for things outside of my zone. This is really taking a toll on my battery, How can I have it not record outside of my zones?
I understand the importance of saving the battery of your Nest Camera. Let's dig deeper into this — a few questions:
When did you first notice this issue?
is there an over lapping activity zone?
Have you created another activity zone to turn off notifications outside your main activity?
Give these steps a try:
Remove re add your activity zone using your Nest app or computer.
A big Activity Zone captures more activity. In general, the smaller and more precise the Activity Zone, the more accurate your camera’s alerts should be.
If you overlap 2 or more Activity Zones, you only receive a notification for the Activity Zone where the activity first occurred. If the activity actually happened in 2 or more Activity Zones at the same time, you only get a notification for one of the Activity Zones.
