Remove "someone is at the door" from visitor announcement

I have a nest doorbell and a nest Mini

I enabled visitor announcements and whenever someone rings the doorbell I do hear:

- a chime (ding dong)

- followed by a voice saying "someone is at the door"

I only want the chime. Is there a way to only get the chime in the announcement and remove the voice part? If not can this be added as a feature. It strikes me as a pretty basic capability.

Thank you

We've had "Visitor announcements" enabled for at least a couple of years.  There is no option to get just the chime sound, though customers in this forum keep requesting it.

Hi coinquack,

Thank you for contacting the community. I understand you'd prefer your Google Nest Mini to play only the chime (ding dong) when someone presses your Google Nest Doorbell, rather than the full visitor announcement. While this specific option is not currently available, we encourage you to submit your feedback through our feedback form. Your input helps us improve our services.

Regards,
Juan
