Ring Doorbell-Wires 2nd Gen -- Sound on cell phone

Greetings. I had a Google Nest 2nd Gen-wired - doorbell installed yesterday. When the doorbell is used("rung"), I do not have any sound in the residence. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to solve this? Secondly, does/can the doorbell initiate a sound on an IOS phone? If so, how does one set this up?

THX! drazparr

@drazparr

Your Google Nest doorbell should ring your indoor doorbell chime if it is wired to your indoor doorbell chime and the chime connector is connected.

You can also get "Visitor announcements" on your Nest Hub or Nest Mini (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451?).

On your iPhone, you can only get the standard iOS notification sound if you've enabled sound under Settings | Notification for the Google Home app, and with iOS 17, that sound is not very loud at all.

Will the iPhone sound be fixed to be louder?

Hello Helpppppme,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. This feature is not available.  I'd suggest you send yours with our Send Feedback form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Regards,

Emerson

Thank you! This is a world of help.

@drazparr

If you've wired in an indoor doorbell chime, then you need to turn on the "Indoor chime" option for the chime to ring.  In other countries, the name of the option may be somewhat different.
