Rotate camera 90 degrees not an option why?

I have a nest camera located in a narrow hall and rotating 90 degrees makes the best use of the camera aspect ratio. The nest software only gives the option to rotate the image 180 degrees.

Am I the only person in the world who would benefit from a rotate 90 degrees option to take advantage of the camera's rectangular aspect ratio?
