Samsung fails to connect to brand new nest doorbell

Hoping someone might offer a non-generic shut down and restart solution.

3 out of 4 of our household have successfully downloaded the google home app and connected our apple iphones to a brand new nest doorbell (battery powered). 

Only one of our family has an Android Samsung S22. Despite following the same exact instructions the doorbell device is just not connecting to their google home app.

We've tried the shut down and restart the WiFi router to no avail. So what now?

In the Home app on one of the other phones, try inviting the person to the Home. Back all the way out. Hit settings in the lower right. Under Homes there should be a bubble list of people, hit the plus. Invite the new person.
