Share link to video feed with others

I purchased two of the Google Nest Cameras (indoor) with the belief that I can share the video feed via a web browser link. After installing the Google Home app and being unable to locate this functionality, I did some Googling and learned that this is legacy functionality from the Nest app, with which these newly updated cameras do not work.

Consider this an appear to the product development team: please implement this functionality in the Google Home app. While adding certain people, say family members, to my Google Home may be fine for select individuals, It is undesirable and unsatisfactory for this to be the solution for all parties, e.g. baby-sitters, neighbors, etc. Some may not have the Google Home app. Others might have it and themselves not want to join my Google Home. And for those who fall into neither category, I am faced with the prospect of potentially having to add them and remove them again as the need arises. This is cumbersome and obnoxious, and a major drawback for an otherwise excellent product.

Thanks Brad; this enhancement doesn't exist yet, neither have we received any indication that it was in any way acknowledged, until you responded just now. So, do you have the power to carry this feedback? I'm certain that I'm not the only consumer of this product who wants this functionality restored, which existed in older Nest products.

Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration. There are plans for a Google Home web app, but it is not available at this time. 

 

However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.
