Small Business Owner who lost manager and shut down email

Hi everyone, 

I'm a small business owner and I let go of my manager and shut down his email. Well because he set up our nest camera's which I didn't realize I now can't add anything to my Nest account because I can't add myself as manager. I can't figure out a work around other than buying new camera's which is utterly ridiculous. HELP please.....

How about reactivating the email account of the manager, but taking control of it? 

I’ve thought about that but it’s a google workflow account and I don’t think I can do that plus it cost money to reactivate. 

Okay I set up his email again and I STILL CAN'T MAKE MYSELF MANAGER! I have noticed that this is a problem for many small biz owners and their is no work around. What do I do? HELP!

Hi everyone,

 

@ccombs thanks for reaching out here in the Community and for sharing with us your concern. We appreciate you trying to perform some steps. I would recommend you to start over with the setup and link your Nest Camera to your own account instead.
 

Give these steps a try:

  • Log in to your Manager's old account and delete the Nest Camera there.
  • Reset your Nest Camera to the factory default. Remember that after the reset, all of your recorded events will get removed.
  • Sign in to your own account to your app and set up your Nest Camera.
