I need to be able to switch from solar to electric from time to time but do not want to actually remove the connector into the camera.
Are the solar cord and electrical the same to add a "splicer" to connect the cords, kinda like a plug n play.
Is there a voltage difference between solar and electrical in the wiring?
Thank you.

Hmmmm, interesting idea but I have never seen that offered by Nest or any camera company. But I might as why you need this? If you can supply power to the camera via a little USB adapter then if the power goes out the camera will run on its internal battery.

Currently, all cameras are on 110 but if we have to evacuate and if we lose power the cameras battery will work until dead. I was wanting to switch to solar without having to unscrew the cameras from the mounts (it's a hassle with 6 cameras).
I am interested in knowing about the power cords for solar and electrical if they're the same or different to possible do a "quick connect" from one to another

Oh, okay, that makes sense. Good luck with your search for this solution. I'd love to hear if you come up with anything.
