All, I finally figured out how to add the nest wired doorbell to Nest. I kept getting the NC030 error and the way to get it working is to A) plug in the doorbell into a USB in order to power it on (the micro USB input is in back of doorbell) B) get near an existing nest product if you have one (4-5 feet, I have another Nest camera) C) add the doorbell as backdoor or sidedoor (not front door if you already have a Nest front doorbell) D) keep your existing doorbell plugged in during the setup if it is a Nest doorbell E) follow rest of steps to setup door chime mechanism, etc. This fixed my NC030 error I kept getting.

OMG! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
1OO% This works!
Long story short, I have been sent a replacement doorbell by Google. When adding the doorbell I kept getting this error. I emailed Google everyday for a week, replying to the ticket I raised with not one response. I called them twice and on each occasion they said they will call me back, guess what...no call back. They currently have £220 holder on my bank account until I returned my old doorbell but they were not reply to the issue I raised with them. Hands down, one of the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They have no correlation to response times, or resolution times for issues. I would be interested to know what their SLA's are. It's been 2 weeks now since I have received the doorbell and not one response back from Google.
If you raise a support ticket, and then call back another day referencing your ticket the agent will tell you he/she does not have permission to view the ticket and then requests for all the information again which you provided when logging the initial issue. I had to do this 3 times to raise 1 issue. How counter productive!
After all of this I managed to resolve the issue myself with the help of another customer, instead of Google themselves.
Tempted to sell all my Google products (Hubs, Doorbell, Speakers, Cameras) due to this one shocking experience I have had with them. The products were so much better when they were under the Nest belt.
