I use several Nest cams, and have a subscription. The clips on the Home app are labelled usually as being e.g. 4 minutes 35 seconds. Many play for that length. But often, some will play for just five seconds. Strangely, sometimes with two adjacent clips, one will play full time and the next will not. There is no pattern/logic as to which will play and which will not. Is there a way of forcing the whole clip to play or to stop this issue from occurring. Many thanks.

Hi @DavidMcC,
Thank you for posting in the community. I’m truly sorry to hear that some of your camera clips are not full length. Let me help you with this situation.
Let’s go through the following steps to choose the length of event video recording that you would like to have. With this process, we will be completely sure about what the maximum length is for events that you will have:
Remember: Your camera only saves video when activity is detected. Your video history will show only clips of these motion or sound events. During times with no detected events, it will show blank areas. The video clip length will be based on the activity. The camera or doorbell only saves video when activity is detected, so it's possible that this is the reason that you can see clips of 5 seconds. Let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Lusvin.

Many thanks. I have set this to 3 minutes, and see how it goes. It’s strange though as some clips were saying e.g. 4 minutes and 5 seconds, but actually only playing 5 seconds.

This makes no difference - the clips still display reported lengths of about 5 minutes. Some, especially some hours ago, then only play for 5 seconds.
