I just purchased my cameras this Saturday installer working great so far. My question is regarding video history.. I will only have the videos stored until all little videos accumulated to make 3hrs right? After the 3hr mark is reached it deletes automatically and starts again, correct?
That's what I understood.
If camera is connected to outlet 24/7, (so camera battery never dies) video history is never deleted?

If you do NOT have a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription, then your camera will save event video history for up to 3 hours, that is, for the most recent 3 hours. Once the event is more than 3 hours old, the video history clip is deleted. The length of the event video clip is supposed to be controlled by the "Maximum event length" option under Settings | Video, but some customers report this does not always happen.
If your battery camera is plugged in with the optional power cable, it is "Live" all the time, but without a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription, it will still only save event video history for up to 3 hours.
The way in which Google Nest words this feature ("Up to 3 hours of event video history") has confused MANY customers in this forum.
We've had a battery camera plugged in with the optional power cable for 22 months, with a Nest Aware Plus subscription, so we have 24/7 video history for the most recent 10 days, and event video history for the most recent 60 days.

Ok, I understand thank you for the clarification.
One more question my history video hasn't reached the 3hr limit yet and some videos from this morning have been deleted how do I go about that? Do I need to restart it or factory reset?

If things are working as they should, any clips of detected and recorded events should NOT be deleted until it's 3 hours past the event. I don't have any personal experience with how well this works, because we have a Nest Aware Plus subscription and so are not subject to the 3-hour limit..
