Viewing Videos of events through the day

Hi All, we have cameras all around the home and for the past week we have not been able to view events that have happened through the day when we get home.  Is this correct. It has only happened since we stopped out £100 pa subscription for google keeping all the history as we only need it for 30 days and i understood that was free.  At the moment we have loads of cameras that are basically a waste of time.

Really hope someone can help as i tried google nest help and sat in position 1 for 30 mins and gave up

If you don't have a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription, then with the newer cameras all you have is free access to video events detected and recorded in the most recent 3 hours; if you have the older cameras, all you have is free access to snapshots of events detected and recorded in the most recent 3 hours:
