I have installed the Google Nest Doorbell for a year or so. It is a nice piece of technology. I don't have a ringer anymore. The visitor annoucements are done through the Google Mini and The Google Hub.
On the same devices I listen to music on a low volume. Unfortunately when somebody rings on the bell the volume on both devices is also low. I missed a lot of visitors because of this. Turning on the volume on the Google Mini or Hub works. I hear the bell loud. But then I put on the music and it is also very loud.
The Home Assistant from Google lets me control the volume. Why it is not possible to have two settings, one for the music loadness and one for the doorbell?
I think implementing this would stop me from moving away from this product. It is now one big irritation.

Agreed.. this is very annoying. The volume settings should factor in various scenarios such as doorbell rings.

Many customers in this forum have log requested the same thing. Since Google Nest usually does not treat posts in this forum as feedback, the best we can do is leave "feedback" for Google Nest:

i mean... its totally obvious that this feature is required? it makes me wonder whether the people who actually design and code these things, do they actually use them themselves?

Hello everyone,
@Super_paulie, I understand that the feature is not available and we don't have any news to share when it is applied to the Nest app and Google Home app. We’ll take note of it and ensure that we'll learn from your experience as we continually improve our products and services. Rest assured that we'll take this as feedback and learn from this to deliver a better process and experience in the future.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer and Edmond.
Regards,
Emerson
