Why can I only view supposed HD Nest Cam video feed on my tiny phone screen and not in browser?

I have some older nest cameras that I can view on my computer in the browser and save them to my computer. I thought I would add some more cameras to one of my properties and it forced me to add them to the google home app and not the nest app. Now I have to look in two places for my cameras and I can't view the new nest camera feeds on my computer at all. Why is this? Does it sound like they launched this product before it was fully developed?

Yes, it does seem like the new cameras and doorbells were launched before they were fully developed. We added a Google Nest Camera (Battery) to our existing cameras in Sept. 2021 and have had to use 2 apps ever since and cannot see the new camera on the home.nest.com website.

Back in Sept. Google Nest's VP posted this justification; there have been no updates since: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Message-from-our-GM-Updates-for-our-Nest-customers/ba-p/...

But others are also missing this functionality:

Hi folks,

We hear you and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us. The new Nest cameras can only be added using the Google Home app and the web viewing function is not available. We’re always looking for ways to improve and we’ll take this as feedback. Keep an eye out on our social media channels for more updates.

Let me know if I can assist with anything else, otherwise I’ll be locking this thread after 24 hours.

Regards,

Steve
